VACCINE CERTIFICATES ARE ON THEIR WAY IN NOVEMBER AND IT APPEARS IT WILL BE USED AS THE LEGAL REQUIREMENT UNDER THE HEALTH & SAFETY AT WORK ACT, FOR HOSPITALITY BUSINESSES TO REQUIRE PROOF OF VACCINATION BEFORE ENTERING HOSPITALITY VENUES
HENDERSON RSA EVENTS TO BE CANCELLED
Due to Covid-19 Lockdown and subsequent restrictions the Executive Committee has made the decision to cancel the following events in 2021:
- Veteran’s Christmas Luncheon
- Children’s Christmas Party
- Xmas Ham Raffles
- Melbourne Cup Raffles
Mandatory Vaccinations
Today’s post cabinet press conference has confirmed that vaccinations will be mandatory for employees of businesses where the vaccine certificate is in use, this includes hospitality businesses.
This mandate will come into force when we move into the new Covid-19 Protection Framework.
POPPY BOWL
Jim Gordon, a master carver from Hokitika has hand crafted a unique “Poppy Bowl” for our RSA which he has provided as a gift
It is made out of Totora with a Greenstone set in the middle and is on display at the feature wall of the Club
CLUB MAKE-OVER
WHILE THE CLUB REMAINS CLOSED IT HASN’T STAYED DORMANT
There has been a huge amount of maintenance, tidying up and upgrading taking place throughout the Club
